Travel
Should we rent a car?
We highly recommend you rent a car! If you want to experience all that this beautiful area has to offer, having a car will be helpful.
Is Uber a good way to get around?
Uber is not widely available in the area. If you need to schedule transportation, we recommend the following:
Truckee River Bike Trail
Great place to start your ride & rent some bikes is at Willard's Sport Shop in Tahoe City, then head up the bike path towards Olympic Valley and stop for a bite in Palisades Village!
Tahoe Via Ferrata - Palisades Tahoe
Via Ferrata is an assisted climbing route originally created in the Italian Alps. View the entirety of Olympic Valley from this climb up the iconic Tram Face of Palisades Tahoe.
Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram
Take a scenic ride up the Aerial Tram to the top of Palisades Tahoe. The ride starts in the Palisades Village, which you can get to via a shuttle from Everline Resort.
Kings Beach
Visit the town of King’s Beach, located right on the shore of Lake Tahoe. There are plenty of restaurants, mini golf, water sports rentals, and of course a gorgeous beach to relax on. One of our personal favorites here is Log Cabin Ice Cream.
North Tahoe Cruises - Tahoe Gal
Take a sunset cruise around Lake Tahoe on the Tahoe Gal! Food/drinks can be purchased or just hop on for the scenery.
North Lake Tahoe Boat Rentals
Rent a boat for few hours, grab some towables, or just putt out a few hundred yards and enjoy beautiful Lake Tahoe front and center!
Burton Creek State Park
There are a lot of hiking options all around the lake! There’s a trail system that allows you to choose your adventure based on length & difficulty. This one is a nice easy 3-4 mi hike.
Truckee River
Get some floaties during your stop at Willard's and head over to the Truckee river!
Pro tip: grab a floatie that can hold a cooler for some beverages you can sip on while floating down the Truckee river.
